Colors effect our emotions in different ways, and are often rooted to one's culture and personal experiences. However, there are colors that have universal meaning and evoke similar emotions to everyone. For example, the hues of red usually evoke a warm feeling amongst people, think of Fall season; there are red, orange, and yellow leaves on the ground and people are usually dressed cozy. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the color blue and its hues induce feelings of calm and may also feel sad or indifferent. For example, when it is raining everyone is usually more calmed and relaxed. Although there are many colors, not many studies focus on colors in between the spectrum. Studies tend to focus on the most controversial color like red, blue, and black. More scientific research is needed to further understand how other colors effect people's emotions.
